The Ghost Ship - by Scott Telek

About This Book

This is a novel I wrote over the course of a few years from 2001 - 2004. I made an attempt to get it published but didn't have the stamina to continue plugging away at that extremely demoralizing process. But I've always liked it and couldn't bear to see it languishing on my hard drive, so I decided to make it available here.

It will be published here, adding one page a day, until it is finished. You will be able to buy a printed version of the complete book at any time [not yet], or read it for free over the course of several months.

This book was inspired by my love of old-time sea stories and literature. I read several sea novels, historical books and narratives of the period, paying special attention to the vivid nautical language of the sailors, their words and patterns of speaking. This is an attempt to create that perfect book you want to read in front of the fire on a stormy night, and as such I consider it to be more about sea novels themselves than an attempt to tell a realistic story.

I hope you enjoy it.
